Research

Actilait runs numerous applied research programs of general interest defined by, and for the benefit of, all the partners in the dairy industry.

 

Their achievement is made possible thanks to public financing (European Union, Ministry of Agriculture, Office, Actia, Regional…), interprofessionals (Cniel, Anicap…), and companies.

 

The research projects are most often carried out in partnership (INRA, CNRS, Universities, Colleges, Technical institutes, research centres…); the results are the subject of numerous scientific articles and presentations at congresses.

 

Actilait animates or is present in several Joint technological units (Poligny, Maisons-Alfort and Aurillac), and Joint technology networks (« Sensorialis », « Microbiology and shelf-life of food », « Nutritional quality of food »).

 

 

A few examples of research projects within the framework of Actilait’s missions of general interest

Biofibois (better knowledge of the positive role of wood in cheese dairies), Microtyros starters and control of the cheese ecosystem), Arbres (arborescence of reasoning in cheese dairies), STEC E. coli and toxins), Agilait ((technological incidence of unsaturated fatty acids), Flore QPS (location of strains carrying undesirable genes), PaRMEELI (analysis of the life cycle of goat milk and economical processes), etc.
